Using the Console
The Mason Console is a dashboard that provides access to all of your project configurations, devices and related functionality. You can view the Console by logging in to the Mason Platform website using your Mason Account credentials (see Account Setup).
To the left is a menu (displayed as a stack of labels) leading you to various functionality.
A ‘project’ is a combination of a configuration and a device type (such as the Mason F-07). A configuration is a versioned manifest of the software and software configurations that can be deployed to devices of a type within a group.
You can create a new project or view the list of projects you have created so far by clicking on the ‘Projects’ label on the left menu.
A build is a process that compiles your configuration file, included apps and media into an OS update.
You can view a historical list of the builds you have initiated by clicking on the ‘Builds’ label on the left menu. Builds that are in progress typically show an Orange stripe on the left and are marked with an ‘IN PROGRESS’ label. Successfully completed builds are shown with a green stripe on the left and a ‘SUCCESS’ label, while failed builds show with a red stripe on the left and have a ‘FAILURE’ label.
NOTE: A failed build also has a little ‘Information’ icon next to the FAILURE label which you can click to view additional information about the failure, if available.
To view the list of devices activated against you account, you can click on
the ‘Devices’ label on the left menu. This will load up the list of all
groups currently created, as well as one group named
unassigned which is
where freshly activated or “parked” devices are found. To learn more about
device groups you can read the
Manage Groups document.
To view the list of artifacts you have registered to the Mason Platform, you can click on the ‘Artifacts’ label on the left menu. This will load up the list of all artifacts including media (such as bootanimations) and APKs.
